Valothaki guideline for health checkup
Regular health checkup and screening is required to know health status and future possibility of health problems. There are many disorders remain symptomless and unidentified for longer period of time which may cause irreversible damage to the organs. Treatment at early stage reduce the damage to the organs and treatment cost, increase the chance of recovery and eliminate the necessity of surgical intervention. There are some mild symptoms usually ignored, may be a signal of complicated disorder. Therefore, regular health checkup is essential for early detection of disease without any symptom. This is also helpful in keeping you confident of your health status. We are generating a guideline to monitor health status and early detection of possible disorders.
Your first choice is to monitor your physical fitness, blood pressure and body weight. We may help you monitor your physical fitness that will indicate your overall health status. Reduction of your physical fitness may be an early signal of health and mental problem which should not be ignored. Monitoring blood pressure and heart rate is another useful indicator. High blood pressure is associated with kidney damage, heart disease and brain stroke. Monitoring body weight and preventing obesity/underweight is another good option of maintaining stable health condition.
You must take extra care of your health/mind and undergo regular checkup according to our guideline if you fail to avoid smoking, addiction, pornography and constipation. Be sure that such habit must cause physical, mental and social problems which is not acceptable and easy to avoid. Using surgical face mask as required and avoiding spit here and there is very good habit which is effective in controlling contagious disease spread in the community. By resolving constipation you may remain free of some unwanted colorectal problems which may even require surgical intervention if ignored. If you fail to resolve bat habits, you may contact us to get our support. Otherwise, you must suffer from physical and mental problems very soon disturbing your quality of health and life.
Another good option for you is regular urine checkup according to our guideline which is non-invasive, painless and less expensive. We recommend urine routine checkup once per month which will be helpful to know your diabetic and kidney status. We offer urine checkup at Tk. 100.00 only in Bangladesh for our clients. Urine P H may indicate the possibility of kidney stone formation. Kidney stone formation is favored at both high and low P H . Undetected diabetes or kidney disorder may be suspected if sugar or albumin/protein pass in your urine.
Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) may remain symptomless and undetected for years. 90 percent of the people remain unaware of this. 753 million people suffered CKD globally in 2016. 2 out of 5 patients do not know about their severe stage of CKD. Damage to the kidney is irreversible which is not curable. Early detection of CKD will be helpful to reduce kidney damage and eliminate the necessity of highly expensive kidney dialysis and transplantation. Therefore, regular urine checkup will be very useful in early detection of kidney damage and diabetic status if any without symptoms.
We recommend urine routine checkup (P H , sugar, albumin/protein, red blood cell, pus cell, epithelial cell, cast and crystal) once per month and micro-albumin checkup twice per year (or at least once per year). 24 hours total protein of urine measurement may be an alternative to micro-albumin test. Total protein measurement requires 24 hour total urine collection at home which you may not like to do although it is less expensive and more appropriate.
If any abnormality is found in urine, further investigation will be required for confirmation. If any cast/crystal is found in urine further investigation will require to confirm the possibility of kidney stone formation. If sugar pass in your urine (> 1.0 mmol/L) further investigation will be required to assess the probability of diabetes, kidney dysfunction or renal glycosuria. If albumin/protein pass in your urine above normal range, further investigation will require to identify the underlying cause- kidney damage, infection, inflammation, kidney stone, plasma cell cancer (multiple myeloma), cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, trauma, emotional stress/anxiety, fever, heavy exercise, dehydration, drug intake, exposure to cold temperature etc.
